Somebody stop them: Ferrari is on a roll.

The sad collapse of the Super Aguri team has dominated the lead-up to the Turkish Grand Prix.

It finally ran of money and support with team boss Aguri Suzuki left with no alternative than announce its withdrawal.

The dejected former racer appears uninterested in being involved in Formula One going into the future, saying it was “a piranha club, and I kind of feel that I don’t want to stick my fingers back in.”

Both Super Aguri drivers Anthony Davidson and Takuma Sato are now left without a drive and both are vehement they have unfinished business in Formula One.

While much of the attention has been on the F1 minnow, the Turkish Grand Prix is looming as a fascinating battle between two teams with far bigger budgets.

Ferrari will be out to continue its storming season, with rival McLaren seemingly stumbling since the opening round that Lewis Hamilton won.

With Ferrari winning the last three races and the last two in Turkey, it’s easy to brand Hamilton an underdog going into the round, but he is confident.

Felipe has won here the last two years, but we are here to put an end to that I guess. It is the same every weekend,” he said.

“They have done a good job in the last few races and we will push hard to overcome that.”

Hamilton knows he must not led the Ferrari’s move further away in Turkey.

This weekend obviously I want to get points, but I also want to win. I do miss winning, so that’s my plan for the weekend,” he said.

Hamilton’s team-mate Heikki Kovalainen will be on track in Turkey after being cleared to race following his big crash at the last round in Spain.

While Ferrari’s Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen go into the Istanbul round as firm favourites, BMW is also expected to be a contender with both Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld with a chance to win.

For Australian Mark Webber, it will be another chance to prove his pace in the Red Bull car and hopefully take his fourth points finish in a row.
